Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Tortellini: Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
- Simmer Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Add Flavorings: Stir in the grated parmesan, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Toss Tortellini: Add the cooked tortellini to the pan and toss well to evenly coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh basil on top for garnish and serve immediately while warm.
