Ingredients

Pasta

  • 500 g cheese tortellini

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh basil for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook Tortellini: Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic: In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Simmer Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Add Flavorings: Stir in the grated parmesan, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Toss Tortellini: Add the cooked tortellini to the pan and toss well to evenly coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh basil on top for garnish and serve immediately while warm.
