Ingredients
Crab Cakes
- 1 lb crab meat
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and chopped parsley carefully. Mix gently to avoid breaking up the crab meat too much.
- Form Patties: Shape the mixture into evenly sized patties to ensure consistent cooking.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 190°C (375°F) and allow it to preheat for a few minutes.
- Prepare Crab Cakes: Lightly spray each crab cake with cooking oil to promote browning and prevent sticking, then place them carefully in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook Crab Cakes: Air fry the crab cakes for 10 to 12 minutes, turning them over halfway through the cooking time. Cook until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Serve: Remove the crab cakes from the air fryer and serve warm, optionally with tartar sauce or lemon wedges for added flavor.
Notes
- Chill the formed patties in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before cooking to help them hold their shape better.
- Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges to complement the crab cakes.
- Using fresh crab meat will provide the best flavor and texture.
