Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups cooked egg noodles
- 1 cup tomato soup
- 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the casserole.
- Brown Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat to keep the casserole from being greasy.
- Mix Sauce: In a bowl, combine the tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, gently toss together the cooked egg noodles, browned beef, and the prepared sauce until everything is evenly coated.
- Assemble Casserole: Transfer the noodle and beef mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Add peas or corn to the mix for extra vegetables and color.
- This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated before baking for convenience.
