Description

A nostalgic and comforting classic, this Authentic Tuna Casserole blends tender elbow macaroni with creamy tuna, sweet peas, and melty cheddar, finished with a golden breadcrumb topping. It’s the perfect cozy bake for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

8 oz elbow macaroni

2 (5 oz) cans tuna in water, drained

1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 cup frozen peas

1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended)

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook macaroni in boiling water until al dente (8–10 minutes). Drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix together pasta, tuna, peas, cream of mushroom soup, half the cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.

Sprinkle the top with the remaining cheddar and breadcrumbs. Optional: drizzle with melted butter.

Bake for 25–30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
