Ingredients

- ½ cup (1 stick / 115g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- ¼ cup (60mL) vegetable oil
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups (360g) mashed ripe bananas (about 3–4 medium-sized bananas)
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, vegetable oil, and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Incorporate Bananas: Fold in mashed bananas until fully mixed.
- Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Bake: Pour batter into prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
