Ingredients
Banana Muffins Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup melted butter or oil
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat Oven. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the muffins.
- Mix Wet Ingredients. In a large bowl, combine the mashed ripe bananas with melted butter or oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Add Dry Ingredients. Gradually stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt into the wet mixture. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overmix to keep the muffins tender.
- Prepare Muffin Tin. Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease it. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full to allow room for rising.
- Bake Muffins. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the muffins are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve. Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Add chocolate chips or walnuts for a delicious twist and extra texture.
- Use very ripe bananas for the best sweet flavor and moist texture.
- You can substitute melted butter with an equal amount of neutral oil for a dairy-free option.
- Store muffins in an airtight container to keep them fresh for several days.
