Description

BBQ Chicken Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make meal, perfect for any gathering. These sliders are filled with tender shredded chicken, tangy barbecue sauce, melty cheese, and fresh toppings, all nestled between soft rolls. Ideal for parties, game-day, or a quick meal.


Ingredients

12 dinner rolls or Hawaiian sweet rolls

3 cups shredded cooked chicken (375 g)

⅓ cup barbecue sauce (95 g)

½ red onion, thinly sliced

6 slices pepper jack cheese

¼ cup fresh parsley (10 g), finely chopped

2 tablespoons butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Slice the rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9 x 13-inch (23 x 33 cm) rimmed baking dish.
  3. Spread the shredded chicken evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Drizzle the barbecue sauce over the chicken.
  5. Layer the sliced red onion, pepper jack cheese, and chopped parsley on top of the chicken.
  6. Place the remaining half of the rolls on top to cover the sliders.
  7. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
  9. Slice into individual sliders and serve.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add hot sauce or jalapeños to the chicken mixture.
  • Feel free to swap out pepper jack cheese for cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite cheese.
