Description

Big Mac Tacos combine the classic flavors of the iconic burger with the fun of tacos. Juicy seasoned beef, melty cheese, crisp lettuce, pickles, and creamy “special sauce” are wrapped in warm tortillas for an easy, viral dinner everyone loves.

Ingredients

Beef

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 or 85/15)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Tacos

  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1½ cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • Dill pickle slices
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Big Mac Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • ½ teaspoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef mixture: In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly combined.
  2. Shape beef onto tortillas: Divide the beef mixture into 8 portions and press a thin layer onto one side of each flour tortilla, shaping it to fit the tortilla surface.
  3. Heat skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium heat, ensuring it is hot before cooking.
  4. Cook beef tortillas: Place the tortillas beef-side down into the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes until the beef is browned and crispy.
  5. Flip and add cheese: Flip the tortillas carefully and sprinkle cheese over the cooked beef side.
  6. Toast tortillas and melt cheese: Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until the tortillas are lightly toasted and the cheese melts.
  7. Make the Big Mac sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  8. Assemble tacos: Remove the cooked tacos from the skillet. Top each with shredded lettuce, dill pickle slices, a sprinkle of sesame seeds if using, and drizzle generously with the Big Mac sauce.
  9. Serve: Fold the tacos and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease and improve healthiness.
  • Cooking in a cast-iron skillet enhances the crispy texture and flavor.
  • These tacos can be made in an air fryer at 400°F for 6–8 minutes as an alternative cooking method.
  • Serve with fries on the side for a complete Big Mac-inspired meal experience.
