Description
Rich, fudgy, and moist — this Brownie Bread tastes like a brownie and bakes like a loaf. Perfect for chocolate lovers, brunch, or dessert!
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
- ½ cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan to ensure the bread doesn’t stick during baking.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
- Whisk wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and fully combined.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the brownie bread tender.
- Fold in chocolate chips: If using, fold in the chocolate chips evenly through the batter to add extra chocolaty pockets.
- Pour batter into pan: Transfer the batter to the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula for even baking.
- Bake the bread: Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out fudgy with moist crumbs but not wet batter.
- Cool and serve: Allow the brownie bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature for a delicious treat.
Notes
- Do not overbake to maintain a gooey, fudgy texture inside.
- Add walnuts to the batter for a crunchy, brownie-style texture.
