Ingredients
Cheese Puffs:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
For Serving (optional):
- Sour cream
- Chopped chives or parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the Cheese Puff Batter: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Add the shredded cheese and mix. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and melted butter. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a thick batter.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
- Shape the Cheese Puffs: Scoop portions of batter, roll into balls. Place on a parchment paper-lined tray or in the air fryer basket.
- Cook the Cheese Puffs: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and puffed.
- Serve: Let cool briefly and serve with sour cream or chopped chives/parsley.
