Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
12 egg roll wrappers
Vegetable oil, for frying
Optional: jam, Nutella, mini chocolate chips
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; mix until well combined and fluffy.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper flat with a corner pointing toward you. Spoon 2 tablespoons of the filling into the center. Add any optional fillings on top of the cream cheese mixture if desired.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Seal the top corner with a bit of water.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the egg rolls for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
