Description

A quick and juicy classic meatloaf cooked in the air fryer with a sweet and tangy glaze. This recipe is perfect for weeknights and smaller households, delivering delicious comfort food without heating up the oven.

Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Glaze

  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp yellow or Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C) to ensure it’s ready for cooking the meatloaf evenly.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely diced onion, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to keep the meatloaf tender.
  3. Shape Meatloaf: Form the mixture into a loaf shape that fits comfortably inside your air fryer basket.
  4. Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard until smooth. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf for a sweet and tangy finish.
  5. Air Fry Meatloaf: Place the meatloaf on a piece of parchment paper or a foil sling in the air fryer basket. Cook for 30–35 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C), ensuring the meat is fully cooked and juicy.
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes after cooking to allow juices to redistribute. Then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the meat mixture to maintain a tender texture.
  • Use a foil sling for easy removal from the air fryer basket.
  • Leftover meatloaf makes excellent sandwiches the next day.
