Ingredients
Meatloaf
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Glaze
- ⅓ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp yellow or Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C) to ensure it’s ready for cooking the meatloaf evenly.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely diced onion, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to keep the meatloaf tender.
- Shape Meatloaf: Form the mixture into a loaf shape that fits comfortably inside your air fryer basket.
- Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard until smooth. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf for a sweet and tangy finish.
- Air Fry Meatloaf: Place the meatloaf on a piece of parchment paper or a foil sling in the air fryer basket. Cook for 30–35 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C), ensuring the meat is fully cooked and juicy.
- Rest and Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes after cooking to allow juices to redistribute. Then slice and serve.
Notes
- Do not overmix the meat mixture to maintain a tender texture.
- Use a foil sling for easy removal from the air fryer basket.
- Leftover meatloaf makes excellent sandwiches the next day.
