Ingredients

450 g large shrimp, thawed, peeled, deveined, tail-on

240 ml buttermilk

125 g all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Vegetable oil, for frying

170 g hot honey

Chopped parsley, for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot to 175°C (350°F).
  4. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well coated. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Drain the fried shrimp on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Drizzle the hot honey over the crispy shrimp and garnish with chopped parsley.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
