Description
Crock Pot Steak Bites are tender, flavorful pieces of sirloin slow-cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce. This easy slow cooker recipe results in juicy, melt-in-your-mouth beef bites that pair perfectly with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables, making it an ideal comforting main course for any occasion.
Ingredients
Beef
- 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
Seasonings & Sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Season the steak: In a bowl, sprinkle the sirloin steak pieces evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, ensuring each piece is well-coated with the seasonings.
- Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak pieces and sear them for 2 to 3 minutes, until they develop a light brown crust, but are not fully cooked through.
- Transfer to crock pot: Place the seared steak bites into the crock pot, spreading them out evenly.
- Add sauce ingredients: Add the minced garlic, beef broth, unsalted butter, and Worcestershire sauce directly into the crock pot with the steak.
- Slow cook: Cover the crock pot and cook on low setting for 5 to 6 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, allowing the steak to become tender and absorb the garlic butter flavors.
- Stir and garnish: Before serving, gently stir the steak bites to combine the sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired for a fresh finish.
Notes
- Serve these steak bites with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
- For extra flavor and texture, consider adding sliced mushrooms or onions to the crock pot before cooking.
