Description
Crockpot Steak Bites are tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, slow-cooked to perfection with savory seasonings. Perfect for a cozy dinner, hearty appetizer, or served over mashed potatoes or rice.
Ingredients
2 lbs (900g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Place the cubed sirloin steak in the crockpot.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and onion powder.
- Pour the mixture over the steak, ensuring that it is evenly coated.
- Stir gently to combine and ensure the steak is submerged in the sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the steak is tender and the sauce has thickened.
- Once cooked, stir again and taste. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve the steak bites over mashed potatoes, rice, or enjoy them as a standalone appetizer.
Notes
- For spicy steak bites, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
- Consider adding vegetables like mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers to the crockpot for extra flavor.
- For a slightly sweeter flavor, stir in honey or brown sugar to balance the savory tastes.
- If you want a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir it into the sauce for 15-20 minutes until it thickens.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or crockpot.
- You can freeze leftovers for up to 2 months. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
