Ingredients
Dough
- 2 ¼ tsp yeast
- ¾ cup warm milk

Instructions
- Activate Yeast: In a bowl, combine 2 ¼ tsp yeast, ¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F/43°C), and ¼ cup sugar. Let it rest for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy, indicating the yeast is active.
- Mix Dough: Add 1 egg, ¼ cup melted butter, 3 cups flour, and ½ tsp salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until combined, then knead the dough for about 8 minutes by hand or with a mixer until smooth and elastic.
- First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
- Prepare Filling and Shape Rolls: Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a large rectangle. Spread ¼ cup softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the mixture of ½ cup brown sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon evenly on top. Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log, then cut into 12 equal slices.
- Second Rise: Arrange the rolls cut-side up in a greased baking pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
