Description

Easy Parmesan Garlic Ramen is a fast, flavorful upgrade to classic instant noodles. By combining butter, garlic, and Parmesan with perfectly cooked ramen, this quick dish delivers rich, cheesy comfort in just 15 minutes—ideal for cozy lunches or easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

3 (3-ounce) packages instant ramen noodles, seasoning packets discarded

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

6 cups water

Optional garnish: Fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Bring 6 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Add ramen noodles and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Drain noodles, reserving 1 cup of the cooking water.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and the reserved noodle water. Cook, stirring, until cheese is melted and sauce thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss gently to coat them with the sauce.
  6. Heat for 2 more minutes, then garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add a tablespoon of white miso paste for a deeper umami flavor.
  • Swap in chopped bacon and its drippings for a smoky variation.
  • Include spinach, broccoli, or peas for added nutrition.
  • Use plant-based butter and vegan cheese for a dairy-free version.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of milk or water.
