Description

Flavored detox waters are a refreshing way to stay hydrated and energized. Infused with fruits, herbs, and spices, these waters provide delicious flavors while supporting wellness and hydration.


Ingredients

Cucumber Lemon Mint: 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced; 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced; 5 fresh mint leaves

Strawberry Basil: 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced; 4 fresh basil leaves, gently torn

Citrus Splash: 2 orange slices; 2 lemon slices; 2 lime slices; A sprig of rosemary or thyme (optional)

Tropical Blend: 1/4 cup pineapple chunks; 1/4 cup mango chunks; 2 lime wedges

Berry Boost: 1/4 cup blueberries; 1/4 cup raspberries; A few slices of lemon or orange


Instructions

  1. Rinse all fruits and herbs thoroughly. Slice fruits into thin pieces or chunks, and tear herbs slightly to release their natural oils.
  2. Add the chosen fruits and herbs to the bottom of a clean pitcher or large jar.
  3. Fill the container with cold, filtered water.
  4. Let the mixture chill in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours. Taste after 2 hours and adjust if desired.
  5. Pour into glasses over ice. Optionally, strain the water to remove pulp or loose herb leaves.
  6. Refill the pitcher once using the same fruit and herbs. The second batch will have a milder flavor.
  7. Optional: Use sparkling water instead of still water for a fizzy version, adding it just before serving to preserve the bubbles.

Notes

  • Sweeteners: You can add honey or agave for a sweeter drink if desired.
  • Flavor Strength: Taste after a few hours to ensure the flavor doesn’t get too strong. Remove fruits and herbs when the flavor is to your liking.
  • Combination: Feel free to combine different fruits and herbs for a custom flavor.
  • Storage: Detox waters are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Strain before long-term storage to avoid bitterness.
