Description

Juicy, well-seasoned beef kofta kebabs grilled or baked to perfection—packed with Middle Eastern spices and perfect for wraps, bowls, or salads.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon chili flakes

Other

  • Skewers

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and all the spices including cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and optional chili flakes. Mix well until the mixture becomes slightly sticky, which helps the kebabs hold their shape.
  2. Shape Kebabs: Wet your hands to prevent sticking and shape the meat mixture around the skewers into long, oval-shaped kebabs, pressing firmly so they stay intact during cooking.
  3. Cook Kebabs: For grilling, cook the skewers over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking. For oven cooking, preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C) and bake the kebabs for 15–18 minutes until fully cooked and browned on the outside.
  4. Serve: Remove the cooked kofta kebabs from skewers and serve warm with tzatziki sauce, pita bread, or over rice for a delicious Middle Eastern meal.

Notes

  • Wet your hands when shaping the kebabs to prevent the meat from sticking to your fingers.
  • Add chopped mint to the meat mixture for extra freshness and aroma.
  • Use a mix of 50% lamb and 50% beef for a richer, more traditional flavor.
