Description

These homemade brownie bites are fudgy, chocolatey, and perfectly portioned for sharing. With a crinkly top and gooey center, they’re the perfect bite-sized treat for any occasion, ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

10 tablespoons (141 g) unsalted butter

1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar

¾ cup (75 g) unsweetened cocoa powder

½ teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 large eggs, room temperature

½ cup (62 g) all-purpose flour

½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, whisk in the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture and whisk until smooth and combined.
  4. Stir in the flour and mini chocolate chips, mixing until just combined.
  5. Scoop the batter into the greased mini muffin tin, filling each cup about three-quarters full (around 2 tablespoons per cup).
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still soft. For fudgier brownies, err on the side of underbaking.
  7. Let the brownie bites cool in the pan for 5 minutes before using a butter knife to gently release them. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a crunchier texture, add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans.
  • Top with frosting or sprinkles for an added festive touch.
  • For a holiday twist, add peppermint extract and peppermint chips to the batter.
  • These brownie bites can be frozen for up to 3 months; wrap them individually to prevent freezer burn.
