Description
These homemade brownie bites are fudgy, chocolatey, and perfectly portioned for sharing. With a crinkly top and gooey center, they’re the perfect bite-sized treat for any occasion, ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
10 tablespoons (141 g) unsalted butter
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
¾ cup (75 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs, room temperature
½ cup (62 g) all-purpose flour
½ cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin with butter or nonstick spray.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, whisk in the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture and whisk until smooth and combined.
- Stir in the flour and mini chocolate chips, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop the batter into the greased mini muffin tin, filling each cup about three-quarters full (around 2 tablespoons per cup).
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still soft. For fudgier brownies, err on the side of underbaking.
- Let the brownie bites cool in the pan for 5 minutes before using a butter knife to gently release them. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a crunchier texture, add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans.
- Top with frosting or sprinkles for an added festive touch.
- For a holiday twist, add peppermint extract and peppermint chips to the batter.
- These brownie bites can be frozen for up to 3 months; wrap them individually to prevent freezer burn.
