Description

This One-Pot Creamy Beef and Garlic Butter Pasta is a comforting and flavorful dish that combines tender ground beef, garlic butter, and creamy pasta, all cooked in one pot for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cups water (or broth for extra flavor)

8 ounces pasta

1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half

Salt and pepper, to taste

Parmesan cheese or chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Once the beef is browned, add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the pot. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and the onion softens.
  3. Add 3 cups of water (or broth for extra flavor) to the pot, then bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in 8 ounces of pasta, ensuring it’s well-coated in the liquid. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, about 8-10 minutes, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked, stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream or half-and-half and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve immediately. Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese or chopped parsley for extra flavor.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
  • To make it dairy-free, use dairy-free butter and cream alternatives, such as coconut milk.
  • If you want a cheesy version, add extra shredded cheese like mozzarella or cheddar.
  • For extra flavor, use broth (chicken or beef) instead of water.
  • This recipe can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • It freezes well for up to 3 months. Reheat with added liquid.
