Description

Red Snapper, Shrimp & Grits with Cajun Cream Sauce is a flavorful Southern-inspired dish featuring crispy red snapper, tender shrimp, creamy grits, and a zesty Cajun cream sauce.


Ingredients

2 red snapper fillets

1/2 lb shrimp, peeled

1 cup grits

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 tbsp butter


Instructions

  1. Cook the grits according to package instructions. Stir in butter or salt for added flavor.
  2. Season the red snapper fillets and shrimp with Cajun seasoning. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the snapper for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and butter to make the Cajun cream sauce. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Serve the cooked snapper and shrimp over the grits, and drizzle with the Cajun cream sauce.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more Cajun seasoning or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce.
  • Use other white fish like tilapia or cod as a substitute for red snapper.
