Ingredients
1 large green or red cabbage

½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Remove any wilted or damaged outer leaves of the cabbage. Slice the cabbage into ¾-inch thick rounds, ensuring the core is left intact to keep each slice together.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil (or melted butter), garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture generously on both sides of each cabbage steak.
- Arrange the cabbage steaks in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy on the edges.
