Ingredients
4 Pears (Bosc, Bartlett, D’Anjou)
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 Cup Water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash the pears, then cut them into halves. Use a spoon to scoop out the core from each pear half.
- Place the pear halves in a baking dish, skin side down.
- Divide the butter into equal portions and place a portion on top of each pear half.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the pears.
- Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to allow the pears to brown and caramelize slightly.
