Description

Spicy Steak Ramen Noodles bring together savory, spicy, and umami-rich flavors in a quick, satisfying dish. Tender flank steak, ramen noodles, and a flavorful sauce make this meal indulgent yet simple for any night.

Ingredients

8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced

2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)

1 tbsp vegetable oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp ginger, grated

3 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp hoisin sauce

1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)

1 tsp sesame oil

1/2 cup beef broth

1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Noodles: Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Cook Steak: Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, and beef broth. Simmer for 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  4. Combine: Add the cooked noodles and steak back to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat evenly with the sauce. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with freshly chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice by adding more or less sriracha, or omit it for a milder flavor.
  • Swap the flank steak for chicken, pork, or tofu for a different protein or vegetarian option.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free soy sauce and gluten-free noodles.
  • Add vegetables like bok choy, mushrooms, or bell peppers to enhance the dish’s nutrition and flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Reheat with a splash of beef broth or water to loosen the sauce and noodles.
