Description
This naturally sweetened banana bread is soft, moist, and made without any added sugar — just ripe bananas, applesauce, and wholesome ingredients for a guilt-free breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
3 overripe bananas (about 1.5 cups mashed)
2 large eggs
1 cup whole wheat flour or almond flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth with a few small chunks.
Whisk in the eggs, applesauce, and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let the bread cool slightly before slicing and serving.
