Description

These Sweet Churro Donut Bites are soft, cinnamon-sugar coated delights that combine all the joy of churros and donuts in bite-sized pieces. With a rich chocolate ganache drizzle, they’re perfect for sharing or indulging on your own. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients

For the Donuts:

2 cups plain flour (300g)

1/3 cup granulated sugar (75g)

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

3 eggs

1 1/3 cups milk (320ml)

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled (120g)

For the Churro Topping:

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup sugar (120g)

2 tbsp cinnamon spice

For the Chocolate Drizzle:

1/2 cup chopped chocolate (90g)

2 tbsp cream

Instructions

Prepare the Dry and Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.

Create the Batter:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir until smooth and well-combined, creating a pourable batter.

Bake the Donuts:
Spoon or pipe the batter into a donut tin and bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 20–25 minutes until golden. Let the donuts cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then remove them and cool on a wire rack.

Prepare the Topping:
As the donuts cool, melt 1/4 cup of butter. In another bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.

Make the Chocolate Ganache:
Melt the chopped chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler. Stir in the cream to create a shiny, thick ganache.

Assemble the Donuts:
Brush each cooled donut with melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Dip the top half of each donut in the chocolate ganache. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For best texture, ensure batter is smooth and not too thick.

Top with fresh whipped cream or berries for an added touch.

Best enjoyed warm, but can be stored for up to 2 days.
