Description

Sweet Condensed Milk Bread is a rich, fluffy, and slightly sweet bread that’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or even dessert. Made with sweetened condensed milk, it’s incredibly tender, with endless possibilities for flavor variations and serving ideas.

Ingredients

For the Dough:

2 cups plain flour (300g)

1 tsp instant yeast (or active dry yeast, proofed)

1 tsp salt

3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup warm milk

2 eggs, at room temperature

1/4 cup melted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Glaze (Optional):

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Mix the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a sticky dough forms.

Knead the Dough:
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.

First Rise:
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

Shape the Dough:
Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.

Second Rise:
Cover and let the dough rise for another 30-45 minutes.

Bake:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C).

Optional Glaze:
While the bread cools, mix melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon for the glaze. Brush it over the top of the loaf for extra sweetness and shine.

Serve:
Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing. Serve plain, toasted, or as French toast.

Notes

Use bread flour for a chewier texture.

Serve plain, toasted, or as French toast.
