Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt thoroughly to ensure even distribution of leavening and flavor.
  2. Prepare wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined to create a smooth liquid base.
  3. Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring gently until a soft dough forms without overmixing to maintain fluffiness.
  4. Shape the donuts: Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thickness, then cut into donut shapes using a donut cutter or two round cutters of different sizes.
