Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt, stirring them together evenly to create the base of your dough.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully blended and smooth.
- Form Dough: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined to form a soft dough; avoid overmixing to keep the donuts tender.
- Roll and Cut Dough: Lightly flour your work surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness, then use a donut cutter or two round cutters to cut out donut shapes.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Set the air fryer temperature to 180°C (350°F) and allow it to preheat for a few minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Air Fry Donuts: Place the donuts in the air fryer basket making sure not to overcrowd them, then cook for 6 to 8 minutes until they turn golden brown and cooked through.
- Add Toppings: Immediately after cooking, toss the donuts in cinnamon sugar mixture or dip in glaze while still warm to ensure the topping adheres well.
