Description

Mini slider rolls stuffed with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and classic burger toppings, baked until golden and gooey. Perfect as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or an easy weeknight dinner option.

Ingredients

Beef Mixture

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Slider Assembly

  • 1 (12-count) package slider rolls (Hawaiian or dinner rolls work great)
  • 1012 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

To Serve (Optional)

  • Pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Cook Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and finely diced onion together until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat to keep the sliders from becoming greasy.
  3. Season the Beef: Stir in minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes to combine flavors, then remove from heat.
  4. Prepare Slider Rolls: Slice the slider rolls horizontally, making sure to keep them attached so they pull apart easily. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Add Condiments (Optional): If using, spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and yellow mustard evenly over the bottom layer of rolls for extra flavor and moisture.
  6. Assemble Sliders: Spread the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Layer the cheese slices evenly on top of the beef.
  7. Finish Assembly: Place the top halves of the rolls back on top. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds over them if desired for a nice golden finish and added texture.
  8. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to heat through and melt the cheese.
  9. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
  10. Serve: Use a sharp knife to slice into individual sliders. Serve them warm with optional pickles, lettuce, or tomato slices for added freshness and crunch.

Notes

  • Great for meal prep: cook the beef mixture ahead of time and assemble before baking.
  • Use any cheese you like — pepper jack adds a spicy kick!
  • For a Big Mac–style slider, add shredded lettuce and pickles after baking.
