Description

This creamy Boursin Pasta is a simple, one-pan Italian-inspired dinner featuring Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese melted with cherry tomatoes, garlic, and fresh herbs. The oven-baked sauce becomes luxuriously creamy and perfectly coats the al dente pasta for a quick, comforting meal that is both flavorful and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz (225 g) pasta

Sauce

  • 1 package (5.2 oz / 150 g) Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Finishing Touches

  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare ingredients: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a baking dish, place the cherry tomatoes and the entire package of Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese in the center.
  2. Add seasonings and bake: Sprinkle the minced garlic, olive oil, Italian seasoning, optional red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper evenly over the tomatoes and cheese. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the tomatoes soften and the cheese becomes creamy and melted.
  3. Cook pasta: While the sauce bakes, cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Be sure to reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water before draining the pasta.
  4. Create the sauce: Remove the baking dish from the oven. Stir the softened tomatoes and melted Boursin cheese together to form a smooth, creamy sauce.
  5. Toss pasta in sauce: Add the drained pasta to the baking dish and toss thoroughly until all noodles are well coated in the creamy sauce.
  6. Adjust sauce consistency: Slowly add the reserved pasta water a little at a time, stirring as you go, until the sauce reaches your preferred consistency—creamy yet easily coating the pasta.
  7. Finish with cheese and herbs: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil until well combined and flavorful.
  8. Serve immediately: Plate the pasta warm and enjoy your comforting baked Boursin pasta right away for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs variety works best for its balanced flavors, but you can experiment with other Boursin flavors if desired.
  • For a heartier dish, feel free to add veggies like spinach or mushrooms, or incorporate cooked chicken.
  • The sauce tends to thicken as it cools; when reheating, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
  • Use gluten-free pasta to make this recipe suitable for gluten-free diets.
