- Prepare the Dish: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy removal of the bars.
- Melt Butter: In a large saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat to avoid burning and ensure smooth incorporation with marshmallows.
- Add Marshmallows: Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from Heat and Add Vanilla: Take the saucepan off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract to infuse flavor evenly throughout the mixture.
- Combine Cereal: Gently fold the Cap’n Crunch cereal into the marshmallow mixture until the cereal is evenly coated and the mixture is well combined.
- Press Into Dish: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press gently to spread it evenly, being careful not to press too firmly to maintain a chewy texture.
- Cool and Set: Allow the bars to cool and set at room temperature for 30 minutes or until firm.
- Cut and Serve: Once set, cut into 16 bars using a sharp knife and serve as a delicious snack or dessert.
