Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of the pasta cooking water before draining the pasta.
  2. Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken breasts seasoned with salt and pepper and cook until golden brown and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook Mushrooms and Garlic: In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they release their moisture and become tender, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Make the Cream Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and pour in the cream, stirring to combine. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and continue stirring until the sauce thickens slightly and the cheese melts completely. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toss Together: Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the skillet with the creamy mushroom sauce. Toss everything well to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
