Ingredients
For the Burger Bowl
- 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup diced cucumber
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup sliced dill pickles
Burger Sauce
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp pickle relish
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef along with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook thoroughly until the beef is browned and cooked through, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess grease if necessary.
- Make the Burger Sauce: While the beef cooks, in a small bowl whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, pickle relish, and smoked paprika until smooth and well combined to create the creamy burger sauce.
- Assemble the Bowls: Divide the chopped romaine lettuce evenly among four bowls. Then layer the cooked ground beef over the lettuce, followed by halved cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, thinly sliced red onion, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced dill pickles to build the burger bowl.
- Add the Sauce and Serve: Drizzle the prepared burger sauce generously over each bowl. Serve immediately to enjoy the combination of juicy beef, fresh veggies, and creamy sauce.
Notes
- Add sliced avocado or crispy bacon to the bowl for an extra boost of flavor and texture.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef to customize protein options based on preference.
- For meal prep, store the components separately—keep the cooked beef, vegetables, and sauce apart—to maintain freshness until ready to serve.
