Ingredients
Ingredients
- 6 cups Lucky Charms cereal
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray to ensure the treats don’t stick after setting.
- Melt Butter: In a large saucepan, melt the ¼ cup of unsalted butter over low heat, stirring occasionally to avoid burning.
- Add Marshmallows: Add 4 cups of mini marshmallows to the melted butter, stirring continuously until completely melted and smooth.
- Add Vanilla: Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for added flavor.
- Mix Cereal: Fold in 6 cups of Lucky Charms cereal, gently stirring until all the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture, taking care not to crush the cereal.
- Press Mixture: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and gently press it down evenly with a spatula or your hands to form a compact layer without packing it too tightly to maintain softness.
- Cool and Set: Allow the mixture to cool and set at room temperature for about 30 minutes until firm enough to cut.
- Cut and Serve: Once set, cut into 16 squares and serve immediately or store for later enjoyment.
Notes
- Reserve a few cereal marshmallows to sprinkle on top before the treats set for added decoration and fun.
- Do not overpack the mixture to keep the treats soft and chewy.
- Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
