Ingredients
Burgers
- 1½ pounds ground beef (80/20)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 12 slider buns
- 6 slices American cheese, halved
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 24 dill pickle slices
Special Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) if you plan to warm the assembled sliders before serving.
- Make Special Sauce: In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth. Refrigerate the sauce until you are ready to assemble the sliders.
- Prepare Patties: Season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the meat into 12 equal portions and shape each into thin slider-sized patties.
- Cook Patties: Heat a large skillet or preheat a grill over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for 2–3 minutes on one side, flip, then top with half a slice of American cheese and cook until the cheese has melted and the patty is cooked through.
- Toast Buns: Lightly toast the slider buns to add a slight crunch and prevent sogginess.
- Assemble Sliders: Spread a generous amount of special sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Layer shredded lettuce, a cheeseburger patty, diced onions, and pickle slices on top. Cover with the top buns.
- Warm Sliders (Optional): For a warm finish, place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and warm them in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes before serving.
