Description

These no bake peanut butter bars combine a rich, buttery peanut butter base with a smooth semi-sweet chocolate topping. Reminiscent of peanut butter cups, this easy and quick dessert requires no oven and is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups (250g) powdered sugar
  • 2 cups (200g) graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup (250g) creamy peanut butter

Chocolate Topping

  • 1½ cups (255g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup (60g) creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper to ensure easy removal and clean edges for your bars.
  2. Make Peanut Butter Base: In a large bowl, mix the melted unsalted butter, powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, and creamy peanut butter until the ingredients are thoroughly combined into a smooth and consistent mixture.
  3. Press Mixture into Pan: Evenly press the peanut butter mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, creating a uniform layer that will form the base of the bars.
  4. Melt Chocolate Topping: In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, gently melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and ¼ cup of creamy peanut butter together. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  5. Spread Chocolate Layer: Pour and evenly spread the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture over the peanut butter base in the baking dish.
  6. Refrigerate to Set: Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and chill for 1 to 2 hours or until the bars are firm and the chocolate topping has set properly.
  7. Cut and Serve: Once chilled, lift the dessert out of the pan using the edges of the parchment paper, cut into 24 bars, and serve chilled for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Chill the bars thoroughly before slicing to achieve clean, neat cuts without crumbling.
  • For extra texture, substitute creamy peanut butter with crunchy peanut butter in the peanut butter base.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week to maintain freshness and consistency.
