Description
Simple and delicious oven-baked crab legs infused with garlic butter, perfect for an easy yet elegant seafood dinner.
Ingredients
Crab Legs
- 2 lbs crab legs
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For Serving
- Lemon wedges
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) to ensure it’s at the right temperature for baking the crab legs evenly.
- Prepare the Crab Legs: Place the crab legs in a suitable baking dish, arranging them so they fit comfortably without overlapping too much.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and paprika. Mix thoroughly to blend all the flavors. Season with salt and black pepper according to taste.
- Coat the Crab Legs: Pour the prepared garlic butter mixture evenly over the crab legs, making sure each piece is coated well for maximum flavor.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil to lock in moisture and flavors. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the crab legs are thoroughly heated.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, carefully take off the foil, and serve the crab legs hot along with lemon wedges and additional melted butter if desired.
Notes
- Use kitchen shears to cut the crab shells for easier eating and to avoid shell splinters.
- Avoid overbaking as it can dry out the crab meat and diminish flavor.
- Serve immediately after baking to enjoy the best texture and taste.
