  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  2. Cook Vegetables: During the last 3 minutes of pasta cooking, add the asparagus pieces and peas to the boiling pasta water to cook until tender.
  3. Drain and Reserve: Drain the pasta and vegetables, reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water for later use.
  4. Sauté Garlic: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked pasta and vegetables to the pan along with the lemon juice, lemon zest, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Toss with Pasta Water: Toss everything together, gradually adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce that coats the pasta evenly.
  7. Season and Serve: Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately while warm.
