- 1 bunch asparagus, cut into pieces
- 1 cup peas
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
- Cook Vegetables: During the last 3 minutes of pasta cooking, add the asparagus pieces and peas to the boiling pasta water to cook until tender.
- Drain and Reserve: Drain the pasta and vegetables, reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water for later use.
- Sauté Garlic: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked pasta and vegetables to the pan along with the lemon juice, lemon zest, and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Toss with Pasta Water: Toss everything together, gradually adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce that coats the pasta evenly.
- Season and Serve: Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately while warm.

- For a vegan version, use plant-based Parmesan cheese.
