Description

Piña Colada Sangria combines tropical pineapple and creamy coconut flavors with chilled dry white wine for a refreshing and fruity twist on classic sangria. This bright, tropical-inspired cocktail is perfect for summer entertaining and easy to prepare with no cooking required.

Ingredients

Liquids

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) chilled dry white wine
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut rum
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup chilled sparkling water

Fruits

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries

Other

  • Ice, for serving
  • Pineapple wedges and toasted coconut, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Fruits: Add the pineapple chunks and sliced strawberries into a large pitcher to start building the tropical flavors.
  2. Add Liquids: Pour in the chilled dry white wine, pineapple juice, coconut rum, coconut water, and fresh lime juice over the fruit in the pitcher.
  3. Mix Gently: Stir the mixture gently to combine all ingredients without crushing the fruit.
  4. Chill: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and intensify.
  5. Add Sparkling Water: Just before serving, add chilled sparkling water to the pitcher and stir gently to maintain the carbonation.
  6. Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour the sangria over the ice, and garnish each glass with a pineapple wedge and a sprinkle of toasted coconut if desired.

Notes

  • Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or another crisp dry white wine works best for this sangria.
  • Add the sparkling water immediately before serving to maintain its fizz.
  • For a sweeter sangria, mix in 1–2 tablespoons of simple syrup to taste.
  • Freeze pineapple chunks to use as ice alternatives to keep the sangria chilled without watering it down.
