Description

Pink Chocolate Bark with Hearts and Sprinkles is a delightful and visually appealing dessert made by melting white chocolate and adding festive pink coloring and colorful toppings. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for Valentine’s Day, parties, or as a homemade gift. The crunchy texture of sprinkles and candy hearts gives a fun contrast to the smooth chocolate base.

Ingredients

Chocolate Base

  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • Pink food coloring or pink candy melts (optional)

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup heart-shaped sprinkles
  • 2 tablespoons colorful sprinkles
  • 2 tablespoons mini candy hearts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the chocolate from sticking and allow easy removal once set.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place the white chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval, until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted.
  3. Add color (optional): If using white chocolate, stir in pink food coloring carefully until the color is evenly distributed. If using pink candy melts, this step is not necessary.
  4. Spread the chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet. Using a spatula, spread it out evenly into a thin rectangular or square layer, about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Add toppings: Immediately sprinkle the heart-shaped sprinkles, colorful sprinkles, and mini candy hearts evenly over the top of the melted chocolate before it begins to set.
  6. Set the bark: Allow the chocolate to cool and harden at room temperature for about 20 minutes, or place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for quicker setting.
  7. Break into pieces: Once completely firm, peel the chocolate bark off the parchment paper and break it into irregular, bite-sized pieces. Serve or package for gifting.

Notes

  • Store the chocolate bark in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain freshness and prevent moisture buildup.
  • For added texture and flavor, you can incorporate crushed cookies, pretzels, or nuts into the toppings before the chocolate sets.
