Ingredients
Chicken & Cheese
- 4 chicken breasts
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
Sauce
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup milk
Topping
- 1 cup stuffing mix
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the casserole.
- Prepare chicken: Place the chicken breasts evenly in a baking dish, making sure they lay flat and are spaced apart.
- Add cheese: Top each chicken breast with one slice of Swiss cheese, covering the surface for a creamy, melted topping after baking.
- Mix sauce: In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup with the milk until smooth. Pour this mixture evenly over the chicken breasts and cheese.
- Add stuffing topping: Sprinkle the stuffing mix evenly over the top of the sauce and chicken. Drizzle the melted butter over the stuffing mix to help it crisp up during baking.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing topping is golden brown and crispy.
