Description

This Tasty Boiling Crab Sauce is a rich and flavorful buttery seafood sauce infused with garlic, Cajun spices, and a hint of lemon. Perfect for seafood boils including shrimp, crab legs, lobster, crawfish, and clams, this sauce elevates any seafood dish with its restaurant-quality taste and aromatic herbs.

Ingredients

Butter Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter

Spices & Seasonings

  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Liquids & Herbs

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Melt the Butter: In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter carefully to prevent burning.
  2. Cook the Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and soft, ensuring it doesn’t brown.
  3. Add Spices: Stir in Cajun seasoning, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly so that the spices combine evenly with the butter.
  4. Add Liquids: Pour in the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce, stirring well to blend all the flavors together.
  5. Simmer the Sauce: Let the sauce simmer on low heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. This helps develop deeper flavors and melds the seasonings.
  6. Finish and Serve: Stir in the chopped parsley for freshness and remove from heat. Serve the sauce warm over cooked seafood such as crab, shrimp, or lobster.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to modify the spice level according to your taste preference.
  • This sauce pairs excellently with shrimp, crab, lobster, crawfish, as well as steamed vegetables.
