Description

Juicy grilled chicken skewers glazed in a sweet-savory teriyaki sauce, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed

Marinade

  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Others

  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil to create the marinade. Add the cubed chicken breast and mix well to coat all pieces evenly. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  2. Prepare the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 15 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between pieces for even cooking.
  3. Grill the Chicken: Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven under the broiler. Cook for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, and baste the chicken with additional teriyaki sauce to keep it moist and flavorful.
  4. Serve: Once the chicken is cooked through and has a nice glaze, remove the skewers from the heat. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving for maximum juiciness.

Notes

  • Soaking wooden skewers before grilling prevents them from burning.
  • Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
  • For extra flavor, add garlic or ginger to the marinade.
  • Can be served with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.
