Filling
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup spinach, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the quiche.
- Sauté Vegetables: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, sautéing until they are softened and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes.
- Prepare Crust: Spread the sautéed vegetables along with the chopped spinach evenly over the bottom of the prepared pie crust in your quiche or pie dish.
- Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, whisk together 6 large eggs, 1 cup milk, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper until fully combined and slightly frothy.
- Assemble Quiche: Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables in the pie crust. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top of the quiche filling.
- Bake: Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden. A knife inserted in the center should come out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
