A versatile base recipe for making either a healthy smoothie or a creamy milkshake—customizable with your favorite fruits, ice cream, and sweeteners for a refreshing blended beverage.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 1 cup fruit (banana, berries, mango, etc.)
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar (optional)

For Smoothie Option

  • Ice cubes (as needed)

For Milkshake Option

  • 12 scoops ice cream (vanilla or chocolate recommended)

Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients to Blender: Pour 1 cup of your chosen milk and 1 cup of fresh or frozen fruit into a blender to create the base for your drink.
  2. For Smoothie: Add ice cubes to the blender to chill and thicken the drink, then blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  3. For Milkshake: Instead of ice, add 1 to 2 scoops of ice cream to the blender and blend until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
  4. Taste and Sweeten: Sample your blended drink and add honey or sugar if extra sweetness is desired. Blend briefly to mix.
  5. Serve Immediately: Pour into a glass and enjoy your freshly made smoothie or milkshake right away for the best flavor and texture.
